'The JLP Design Center. The process of building a home is overwhelming by itself. But having to decide virtually every detail of every aspect of the interior decoration of that home can be severely daunting. If you have never experienced this process, the sheer number of decisions necessary to select all the fixtures and finishes is exhausting. Added to that is the pressure of seeing all the vast selections for the first time and needing to make all the decisions in a matter of hours is stressful. There is hope for a great outcome. Our experience was with Kim Baird of JLP Builders. She is a professional decorator and very experienced with this process and fully understands what the clients are feeling. Kim guided us through the process of the selections and choices without pressure and all the time making it a fun and enjoyable experience. If you have strong ideas, she will present you the selections you want to see. If you are less design inclined, she is fabulous presenting choices and ideas. If her contribution stopped here, there would be no disappointments for sure, but she goes further. Her genuine excitement for the process puts the magic and energy people want to feel about making this house their home. Clients feel huge pressure to “get it right,” and often clients find they do not agree on all design aspects between them. Kim can broker these situations with suggestions and alternative selections producing compromises and solutions everyone can feel good. We left the Design Center incredibly pleased with our choices. We left the Design Center feeling Kim had worked very hard to help us achieve the look we wanted for our home. We left the Design Center energized and excited about building our home. We had a wonderful experience, and we are happy Kim will have had a hand literally in the making of our home. 5 Stars, no qualifiers, would highly recommend Kim Baird and the JLP Design Center.'

'Over the years my husband and I had a vision to build our dream home in the Texas Hill country. We spent months trying to find a homebuilder who would listen to our ideas for the house we wanted to build. We left every meeting discouraged and crushed thinking our visions would never become reality. It became obvious to us that most builders these days just don't care. They are only in it for the money. They do not see the person behind the checks. Building a home is not only a financial investment but a life investment, and that warm feeling was missing from all builders.. until with met with JLP. They knew we were not just building a house to live in but a home to raise our kids and grow old in.
When we first met with JLP, we presented them with a house design that in our minds we had perfected. They agreed to take on the challenge with us and were excited about what we could build together. They were patient and listened to our ides, even if some of my ideas were out there! We had instantly built a connection with our home building team and knew our dream would finally become a reality.
Over the next few months, as construction was underway, we met with the design team to pick out all of the finishes that would be put into the home. Even their design team knew what this home meant to us. Their dedication to making sure we had it all right, was outstanding. They took the time and the extra questions to make sure we felt comfortable and excited about our selections.
All throughout the build, they were in constant contact with us about the progress or any issues. We had a few delays here and there.. but that is to be expected in construction. Something we knew and understood going into building a home. But JLP always made up for it. They pushed their trades when they could, were at the job site daily and were in the middle of everything going on. If a trade missed something or did not do it to our liking, they would make sure it was fixed and done correctly. It was apparent to us that the builder took pride in the product and that it was just as important to them as it was to us.
Months went by and construction on the home came to an end. It was finally time for us to view the final product. The first time we walked in the door to our brand new home, I had tears in my eyes! I knew we were finally home.
Selecting a Home Builder is a tough job. These days it seems there are plenty on the market to pick from. Some are cheaper and some are more expensive. Some give out quality products and some don't. Some take the time to care and some do not. It is a big financial and life decision. JLP understands this. They care about you.'
